Our Mission

The mission of the Engineering Student Council is to represent the engineering student body; support engineering societies in reaching their full potential; and promote a diverse community through successful collaboration between students, faculty, societies, and the College of Engineering.

Engineers' Code of Ethics

  • Engineers shall hold paramount the safety, health, and welfare of the public in the performance of their professional duties.
  • Engineers shall perform services only in their areas of competence
  • Engineers shall issue public statements in an objective and truthful manner.
  • Engineers shall act in professional matters for each employer or client as faithful agents or trustees, and shall avoid conflict of interest.
  • Engineers shall build their professional reputation on the merit of their services and shall not compete unfarily with others.
  • Engineers shall act in a manner as to uphold and enhance the honor, integrity, and dignity of the profession.
  • Engineers shall continue their professional development throughout their careers and shall provide opportuities for the professional deelopment of those engineers under their supervision.
